Terms & Conditions

By booking and attending an appointment with Trident Performance Therapy, you agree to the following Terms of Service:

Booking and Cancellation Policy

  • All appointments must be booked in advance and confirmed by Trident Performance Therapy.

  • Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice.

    • Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to the full treatment fee.

    • Non-attendance without notice will be charged in full.

  • Trident Performance Therapy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including therapist illness or emergencies.

Health Disclosure and Contraindications

  • Clients must disclose all relevant medical conditions, injuries, illnesses, or other contraindications when requested, both at booking and prior to treatment.

  • Failure to disclose relevant information may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.

  • Trident Performance Therapy reserves the right to refuse or terminate treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate to proceed.

Consent to Treatment and Nature of Sports Massage

  • By booking an appointment, the client provides consent for physical contact necessary for the delivery of sports massage therapy.

  • Physical touch may involve areas close to, but never directly on, the breasts, buttocks, or genitalia.

  • Clients may withdraw or modify their consent to treatment at any time, and treatment will cease immediately upon request.

  • All treatments are conducted professionally with the utmost respect for client dignity, modesty, and safety.

  • Clients are encouraged to express any discomfort immediately and have the right to stop the treatment at any point.

Use of Independent Therapists and Trainees

  • Trident Performance Therapy may, from time to time, engage additional qualified massage therapists or trainee therapists to support during events or busy periods.

  • Trainee therapists may be completing required practice hours towards formal qualification but are fully trained, competent, and insured to provide massage therapy services.

  • All independent therapists and trainees operate under their own professional insurance and are responsible for their own clinical practice.

  • Clients will be informed when they are receiving treatment from a trainee therapist.

Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must arrive clean and dressed appropriately for physical treatment.

  • Clients must not attend appointments if suffering from contagious illnesses (e.g., colds, flu, skin infections).

  • Clients are responsible for their own aftercare, including:

    • Drinking adequate water post-treatment.

    • Following any aftercare advice provided during or after the session.

    • Monitoring for any adverse reactions and seeking appropriate medical advice if necessary.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • Trident Performance Therapy provides sports massage therapy and associated services in good faith, using reasonable care, skill, and diligence.

  • While every effort is made to ensure safe and effective treatment, no therapy is entirely without risk. Clients acknowledge that sports massage may occasionally result in temporary soreness, bruising, fatigue, mild discomfort, or exacerbation of existing conditions.

  • By proceeding with treatment, the client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with massage therapy, including, but not limited to, short-term soreness, aggravation of pre-existing injuries, or delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).

  • Clients agree that Trident Performance Therapy, its employees, independent contractors, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by the client during or after treatment sessions, except where such injury results directly from proven gross negligence or misconduct.

  • Clients are solely responsible for following aftercare advice, including appropriate hydration, rest, and seeking medical advice where needed.

  • Treatment is not a substitute for professional medical care or diagnosis. Clients are advised to consult a qualified healthcare provider for any concerns that may fall outside the scope of sports massage therapy.

  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Minors and Vulnerable Adults

  • Clients under the age of 18 or vulnerable adults must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or appropriate chaperone, who must also provide written consent for treatment.

  • Trident Performance Therapy reserves the right to refuse treatment without appropriate consent or supervision.

Data Protection and Privacy

  • All client information collected during booking and treatment is stored securely and handled in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

  • Information is used solely for the purpose of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law.

Marketing and Testimonials

  • Trident Performance Therapy may request client consent to use non-identifiable photographs, testimonials, or event images for marketing purposes.

  • No client information, images, or videos will be shared publicly without prior written consent.

Client Behaviour Policy

  • Trident Performance Therapy maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any abusive, inappropriate, or aggressive behaviour.

  • Any breach will result in immediate termination of the session without refund and, if necessary, reporting to relevant authorities.

Event Treatment Disclaimer

  • Clients receiving treatment at event venues acknowledge that outdoor environments may involve uneven surfaces, variable weather, and limited facilities.

  • Trident Performance Therapy accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained outside the direct provision of treatment or as a result of environmental conditions at event locations.

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
